MMU Radio is an establishment of Mountains of the Moon University. The Radio aims to support the university by supporting training, research and community outreach. We are a university-based community radio station which is unique and rare. The objectives of MMU Radio are: i) to INFORM the local community and beyond through providing an alternative to music and in-depth spoken word programming that tackles community challenges. Champion such values as freedom of expression, fairness, respect and accountability with regards to participation and programming, ii) to ENTERTAIN the local community and beyond, iii) to EDUCATE students at Mountains of the Moon University, interns from elsewhere including international interns, farmers, etc. The radio supports, promotes and creates linkages amongst students, the University Students’ Rwenzori Region and beyond, and the communities around the University
